Here's the best reason to let my vagabond flowers grow among the vegetables, images like this! In the pictures below, swiss chard, snake gourd, green peppers and plenty of flowers, only a few of which I planted. Most volunteer from seed or are perennial. But even the veggies are starting to come back on their own now. I had one tomato and 4 pepper plants volunteer, so who knows what the garden will be like in ten years. I might have to give up the entire concept of rows and wander about as though it's Eden.
